Obituary of A'Van William Reed
Please share a memory of A'Van to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A'Van William Reed was born to Lamont Van Reed II and Ava Gallon (Adames) on October 9th,1996, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a bright spirit and talented artist. He passed away at 28 years old and left a lasting impact on many lives. From a young age, A'Van showed exceptional talent in drawing and a love for gaming. A'Van had 4 parents, (Van & Lisa and Ava & Ish) who lovingly supported his creativity.
A'Van attended Russell Byers Elementary, Richard Allen Middle School, and CHAD (Charter High School of Architectural Design), where he honed his skills in drawing, game design, and computer building. He built his first computer in 2011 and by 2014 was selected to showcase a variety of his drawings and games at the University of the Arts expo. Though he received a full scholarship to Champlain College in Vermont, he chose to follow his own artistic path and connected his love for music with his unique style.
As an artist known as "Danny Fanta." He blended his song lyrics with upper note tones and deeper raw vocals. His rhyming style had a unique flow, and when added to the hooks that he sang, a magnetic energy was found. In 2021, after living in Atlanta and Oregon he re-established his home in Philadelphia. He became a respected figure within the rave music scene, and it was then that he expanded his art forms. Known for his personal image and style, he launched his own clothing line with wearable art pieces inspired by his love of anime. A'Van made an impact not only through his various art forms but also through his loving kindness. Whenever he could, he made sure his friends, family and his younger brothers knew they were cared about and loved. A'Van was a deeply creative soul who channeled his emotions into his art, sometimes feeling overwhelmed by them. A'Van's spirit of creativity, kindness, and love will continue to inspire and influence us all. He may be gone from this world, but his light shines brightly in the music, the art, and the lives he touched.
A'Van's legacy will live on. He is survived by LaMont Van Reed II (Father), Lisa Reed (Stepmother), Ava Marie Adames, (Mother), Ismael Adames, (Stepfather), his brothers Elias Reed and Jonathan Adames, his grandparents Paulette Williams, Icilda Johnson (spouse Brandon Johnson), Jerome Gallon (spouse Leathia Gallon), Lamonte Van Reed, his Great Grandmom Gloria Reed, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey. Rest in peace A'Van - you will always be loved and forever cherished.
