Lisa Annette Womack Obituary

Born on August 24, 1961, at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, Lisa came into this world destined to make an impact. From the very beginning, she embodied the very essence of resilience and warmth, growing up in a home where faith and family were the foundation of every step she took. As a young girl in Philadelphia, her sharp mind and radiant personality set her apart, creating lifelong friendships and a deep sense of belonging wherever she went. Lisa's path led her to Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, PA, where she became known for her quick wit, brilliance, and unparalleled ability to light up any room. She later pursued her dreams at Shippensburg University, where she earned a degree in Journalism in 1983, chasing her passion for storytelling and knowledge.

But Lisa's story was never just about what she achieved—it was about how she made others feel. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 10 years, Lisa's career was built on one simple, yet profound principle: to care for others. But beyond her work, she gave everything she had to her family, especially to her youngest son, whom she cared for with an unwavering devotion that knew no bounds. She was not just a mother; she was the heartbeat of her family, the glue that held them all together.

Lisa was the life of every gathering, a bright light of joy and energy that could never fade. Her laugh was the soundtrack to so many beautiful memories. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, always ready to help, hype you up, or just listen.

Her greatest joy in life, however, was her role as a grandmother. To her precious grandchildren, she was more than just "Mom-Mom"—she was a queen, a source of endless affection, laughter, and spoiling. Her love for them was unshakable, and every moment spent with them was treasured. She lived for their smiles and their stories, and her legacy is embedded in their hearts forever. Lisa was not only the anchor of her family but also the embodiment of unconditional love and strength. She held her family together through thick and thin, providing a safe harbor for all who needed it. In the sanctuary of her home, she created a haven filled with warmth, kindness, and the kind of love that only a mother and grandmother can give. Her fierce loyalty to her loved ones was a gift that will never be forgotten.

Lisa's legacy is all about strength, love, and holding it down for her family. She was pure grace and hustle, and her spirit will always live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Lisa was a proud mother to five children: Dayon, Brittney, Brandon, Desmond, and her son Jerry, who passed away in 1995. Though Jerry is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the love that Lisa carried for him throughout her life. She leaves behind a family who will forever honor her memory, including her beloved grandchildren: Averyon, Andre, Peyton, Hunter, Dawson, and Sayora; her loving parents, Shirley and William; her brother, David; her sister, Vanessa; her son-in-law Mark; and a host of extended family and dear friends whose lives she touched with her selflessness, kindness, and radiant joy.

Lisa's love, laughter, and light will continue to guide and inspire us, long after she is gone. She was one of a kind—a woman who lived life fully, loved without reservation, and left an indelible mark on all of us. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate her incredible life, her boundless love, and the legacy she leaves behind.

May Lisa rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever intertwined with the hearts of those she so deeply loved.
