Valerie Brenda Birton Obituary

Valerie Brenda Birton, beloved daughter of the late Eddie and Mary Nell Birton, was born on October 10, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A proud graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, she continued her academic journey at Clark Atlanta University, where she earned her bachelor's degree and developed lifelong friendships.

For the past 12 years, Valerie was a valued member of the GeoBlue (formerly HTH Worldwide) team. She was known not only for her dedication and dependability but also for the warmth and light she brought to the workplace. Her strong work ethic, gentle spirit, and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the many lives she touched. Her presence there will be profoundly missed.

Valerie was a devoted mother, a loving aunt, and a nurturing soul whose compassion reached far beyond her family circle. She lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and an open-hearted generosity that touched everyone she encountered. Whether offering comforting words, a listening ear, or a helping hand, Valerie consistently showed up for others with grace and humility. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved.

Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and faith—a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her and especially her one and only daughter, Nakia.

Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mary Nell Birton; her sister, Stacy Birton; and her aunts: Geneva Oxner, Rosa Taylor, Lucille Coffer, and Doris Mims.

She leaves to cherish her memory of her beloved daughter, Nakia Ténay Birton; her niece, Kourtney Birton; her brothers. Eddie James Birton of Detroit, Michigan, Eugene Davis of Seattle, Washington and Craig Sanders of Bensalem, PA; her aunts: Juanita Oxner (Phillip) of Philadelphia, PA, Ida Pendergrass (Philip) of Columbus, GA, and Frances Mims of Philadelphia, PA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
