Q: How did you meet Regina?
A: On June 9, 2023, about 6 months after facing a devasting loss, I closed on a home just one door down from Ms. Gina. It didn't take long for us to meet each other and quickly become friends. Before I knew it I was meeting her in the mornings with a coffee cup in my hand and just sitting with her. I would get late night calls from her and would answer and she would say just a very short sentence each time, "Hi my baby, come over" . And each time I would stop what i was doing and come see her. This went on for a little over two years. In those two years, I grew to know of the love she so freely gave me. She filled many gaps I had felt like I had been missing being completely isolated from my family. And so, it became routine, our late nights or card playing, sitting by the fire, having a few glasses of her favorite marg drink. My God Daughters grew to know her love also, typically bothering me to go visit her as soon as they came home. As always, each time, Ms. Gina opened her home and loved on them. She was so special to all of us and we will miss her dearly. Rest in His arms my sweet lady, we will always love you.
