Barbara A. Lee Obituary

Barbara Ann (Corbin) Lee also known as (Sissy) transitioned peacefully on August 7, 2023, at Abington Hospital, at the age of 80. She was born in Pedricktown, NJ on October 16, 1942. She was the 2nd oldest of thirteen children born to the late Percy W. Corbin Sr. and the late Mary E. Corbin.

She joined Grace Episcopal Church in Millers Tavern, VA at an early age and attended Essex Public Schools in Tappahannock, VA, where she graduated. She moved to New Jersey after graduation and later moved to Philadelphia, PA. She retired in 2005 from Aetna Health Inc. as a Healthcare Insurance Professional.

Sissy enjoyed shopping, watching old black/white movies, and trying out new recipes, she also enjoyed volunteering, especially with the Susan G Komen foundation for breast cancer.

One of her enjoyable memories with her was having those early morning conversations with her sons on the phone as well as visiting her family in New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul R. Lee; sisters Letha A. Gaskins, Marion S. Thompson, Rita B. Corbin; brothers, Percy W. Corbin Jr., William K. Corbin, Dwan F. Corbin, and Eugene W. Corbin; Brother-in -laws Beechie Veney Sr.; Butch Payne.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: four sons Brent Corbin, Sr. (Judy), Brian Lee, Blake Lee, and Reginald Lee; 2 grandchildren: Brent Corbin, Jr. and Cierra Corbin; 5 great grandchildren Ally, Ariella, Miles, Rhys and Rita; sisters: Myrtle E. Payne of Montross, VA, Cynthia C. Veney of Haynesville, VA, Wanda L.(Howard) Wise of Montross, VA and Teresa R. Gumbs of Lakewood, WA; brother: Wayne T. Corbin; sisters-in-laws, Frances Corbin and Darlene Corbin; brother-in-law, Robert Thompson, Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved relatives and friends; as well as her beloved cat Mikki.
