We have some of the best memories as kids. You was my 1st best friend. If somebody would mess with you in school I would take up for you no matter what. I remember running on swain street and pretending to be in the WWF, and we would have fake wrestling matches. Your mom and dad treated me like their own son. They fed me when I came over to your house, and always showed me love. Last time we talked you said that you loved me and thanks for everything, but I honestly want to thank you for allowing me to be your friend. Giving me some of the best laughs I’ve ever had and I reminding me I always got a friend around corner. Maybe I’ll go knock on your old house door one day just so I can imagine your going to yell out the window “ Come upstairs so we can play the game”. You fought hard kid love you always.

If anyone asked, what’s one word to best describe Uncle Edward? I would say Animated. He always showed a good spirit. In fact, he is a strong individual physically, emotionally, and spiritually and by physically I mean that he would wake up no later than 5am everyday just to workout. He never missed a day of workouts. I remember when at the time of him doing push ups he would let me sit on his back while I do the count downs for him. I’ll go “ ONE , TWO , THREE “ all the way up to TEN. Although, me stopping at TEN wasn’t enough for him. Uncle Edward would go “ No Myj keep going “ “ keep counting “. HE KEPT PUSHING. Uncle Edward pushed through the pain to come out stronger on the other side.

I remember when I used to be so bad in Elementary school I missed the school bus after school, and my uncle don was busy so my mom had uncle Edward come over to the school to take me home. And on our way home he was showing me how to take septa so when we got off the bus, I was like “where does that bus go” and he was like “oh shit that bus takes us home” so he put me on his shoulders and did a full on dash across the st and I had one hand up like I was on a roller coaster, I miss you unc.
