Gwendolyn Everett born on December 19, 1949 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania was the second of five children born to the Late Leroy and Viola Everett.

Gwendolyn fondly known as Gwen or Gwenie by her friends. As a young child she was baptized at Childs Memorial Baptist Church.

Gwen was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System where she graduated from William Penn High School.

Gwen was employed at various jobs, a few being the Franklin Mint, The Evening & Sunday Bulletin, and Taig Home Health Care. Her favorite pastime was dancing, traveling, the casino, and the lottery. She loved spending time with her family. On Sundays she had to listen to her Oldies on the Radio.

In August 1969 Gwen married the LOVE of her life, Robert Nelson, and from that union two sons where born, Robert Kenneth and Derrick Christopher. As a mother she was devoted to her children. Their marriage lasted 54 years until her husband untimely death.

Gwen was proceeded in Death by her Husband (Robert Nelson) her Parents (Leroy and Viola Everett) and her Brother (Leroy Everett Jr.)

Gwendolyn Everett Nelson transitioned from Earth to Glory on Sunday March 24, 2024. Her precious memories will be cherished by:

** Sons: Robert Kenneth and Derrick Christopher (Lalifah)

** Grand Daughters: Tiana, Anikazyareri, Tamia, Sapphire and Ameenah

** Grand Sons: Robert, Khalif, and Jabril

** Great Grand Daughter: Layla

** Brother: Delencil Everett

** Sisters: Delories Everett and Aleitha Copper (William)

** Aunt: Barbara Zeigler and Ann Zeigler

** And a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Special Friends
