Patricia Lee Ball (nee Mitchell) was born on December 20th 1950 to the late Mary Elizabeth White (nee Mitchell) and the late Earnest Williamson in Halifax County, South Boston, Virginia.

At a young age, Patrica (Pat) moved with her mother to Philadelphia where she spent her childhood years being educated in the Philadelphia public school system. It was here she eventually met her future husband Bennie Ball at the tender age of 12. After dating for some years, they married on March 6, 1976. Their union produced two children, Corey and Davita.

Pat dedicated her life to being a full time mother to her children. She fostered a love of nature in them and often took them on picnics and cookouts in the park. She loved to roughhouse with all the children in the family and would use that opportunity to showcase her strength with body slams, bear hugs…you name it, she did it and she always won! Her grandchildren, Jaya and Gavin, would test her and learned at an early age, "Mom Mom will ball you up!" Pat particularly enjoyed history, music and dancing. She was always the life of the party and never missed a chance to "drop it like it's hot".

To Pat, family was everything. Especially when it came to her children and grandchildren. She experienced pure joy in watching them grow, in teaching them and in loving them. She was a mother, a proud grandmother, a best friend, a cheerleader, and also a disciplinarian who always told you exactly what was on her mind. Simply put - she was something to everyone.

Pat leaves to cherish these memories her dedicated husband of 48 years, Bennie; her son Corey & wife Christine; her daughter Davita & husband Jarrett; grandchildren Jaya & Gavin; her beloved fur baby Bo (Bonita/Bonnie); her aunt & "surrogate mother" Theresa; her "sister" cousins Deborah, Louise, Jean, Joy, Gail & Rochelle; her "brother" cousin Tony; and a whole host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was always there when you needed her. She will be terribly missed.
