GLENN PAUL FRAZIER, 72, of Philadelphia, passed away December 16th at Lankenau Hospital. He was born July 17, 1952 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Ezell Frazier and Mildred Christine (Blair) Frazier.
He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1970. An excellent student, with drive and ambition, he continued his education by attending the University of Pennsylvania. During his sophomore year in 1972, Glenn pledged the first line of the Quaker Chapter of Grove Phi Grove Social Fellowship, Inc. He was proud to be a member and treasured the many life-long friendships that developed.
While at the University, Glenn met and married Nilda, who was also a student there. They raised their family of three children in University City/West Philly and never seemed to venture far from this area in the 51 years of their marriage. Glenn worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital for 42 years and became a valued and respected employee. His last position before retirement was in the cardiology department. He was a hard worker but also knew how to have fun.
He was an avid bowler, playing on the VA competitive bowling team and a community softball team. While the family was young, Glenn enjoyed exploring Philadelphia for all it had to offer: museums, historical venues, parades, great restaurants. He really made Philadelphia his home. He also developed a passion for traveling. He loved the beach and summers often found him with family at the Jersey shore. He didn't get to all fifty states but he did get to quite a few of them. Canada, St. Croix, Disney World, Las Vegas and New York could also put a smile on his face.
These words cannot totally capture the man Glenn Paul Frazier was. He was one in a million.
Glenn leaves to celebrate his memory his wife Nilda Rivera-Frazier, sons Tavarez and Manguel and daughter Amalia Frazier; grandchildren Eric Dickerson, Aysia, Aydin and Nia Frazier; great-grandchildren Yasir Mills and Ky'ari Inge, brother Chester Blair and sisters Rolinda Frazier, Debra Lewis and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Last but not least, Glenn was a COWBOYS fan in Eagles Country. So we say for him, "GO COWBOYS!"
